Help Through Prayer

Over the past few days we have watched tragedy unfolding as the floodwaters have swept across Kerrville and the Texas Hill Country. It has been unbelievable to see the magnitude of such devastation. My heart breaks for those families that have lost loved ones.

It is hard to make sense of things like this. So, instead, I want to remind you that these are the times that refine us as Christians. We often wonder what we can do to help or how we can serve.

The truth is this, the most effective and powerful help we can lend is through prayer. While it is hard to be on the sidelines of difficult situations our biggest defense is prayer. Not everyone is called to be in the midst of something like this, but we are all called to pray. God still answers prayer, and He still works miracles.

So today, be an intercessor for those who are hurting. There are so many at this very moment, including rescuers and first responders, that need prayer. Some families are praying for miracles while others are dealing with loss. Reach out to our Hope for those who are in desperate need today.
